Did you look at DB2 user interfaces? How nicely ugly they are!
Look, Swing even does not support basic cut & paste!
Gridbaglayout wobbles as you do actions. There are many
other problems as well. Whenever I use Swing programs written by Sun,
it tests my patience. Note that Sun cannot write good Swing programs.
How can I write good Swing programs!
