Why? I only see benefits, you are not forced to use this port - but its 
great to have this opportunity! I think the native-for-any-price paradigm 
of SWT is what makes it so unsucessful (there are only a hand ful 
non-eclipse apps, compared to thousands of swing applications).

btw. I assume you've never tried the GTK2 port of SWT. Thats really worst 
of voth worlds, very slow and the limmiting api of swt.
