[news.eclipse.platform.swt] SWT for Palm OS again

I am really trying to get a grip on why SWT for Palm OS was abandoned and
what it would take to get a Palm OS implementation of eSWT.  So far I have
not found anyone who has an idea what happened to the original Palm OS
implementation of SWT--or even who was working on this.

eSWT is far less compelling if it won't run on the most popular smartphone
platform in the US.  Can anyone tell me who I could contact that knows what
happened here and/or where the work that was already done on this
disappeared to?

Was the problem a lack of support from Palm Inc (now PalmSource)?  Are the
leads in developing eSWT open to working with PalmSource?
