As you know, we have had intermittent problems with our newsgroup server
over the last few weeks. We believe the source of the problem to be a
conflict between the processor and the kernel version. Due to these
crashes, the newgroup indexes became corrupted and some older newsgroup
messages are not listed. Rebuilding the indexes did not solve the
problem.
The good news is that all newsgroup messages are archived and available
for viewing offline.
See http://www.eclipse.org/newsgroups/index.html and select "newsgroup
archive" on the right hand side of the text line that refers to your
newsgroup.
The archival mechanism downloads new newsgroup messages every five
minutes. The archives are updated nightly at 2am EDT.
New messages are posted to the newsgroup as usual.
