[news.eclipse.platform.swt] SWT Pocket PC VMs (poll)
|
Which Java VM are you using for your Pocket PC SWT application, and how has
your experience been?
I'm interested in hearing if anyone has tried SWT with waba or CrEme, and
especially anyone using native compilation through gcj. Let's hear your
story!
To start, I'm using Jeode for the Compaq iPAQ. It's a JDK 1.1
implementation, and works with SWT. Although, the window appears somewhat
non-native (see 2003-07-10 PocketPC look and feel). The VM startup time is
somewhat slow (5 s), though run-time performance is decent. I also tried
Jeode with Swing, and it works but is somewhat sluggish.
Cheers,
Shaun
