[news.eclipse.platform.swt] AssertionFailedException

Hi there,

I am fighting around whith a problem which drives me crazy. I hope I didn't
post it in the wrong newsgroup.

I get the following error, when I change the selection in a table viewer:

org.eclipse.core.internal.runtime.AssertionFailedException: assertion
failed: The application has not been initialized.

I've some logic which is performed when a selection change occurs in the
table viewer. Unfortunately I didn't find any hints for this. Can somebody
explain to me what causes this error or what the general idea behind this
exception is.

case)
