there already a plugin that provide much of the functionalities you
describe. please have a look at http://sangam.sourceforge.net/ sangam allows
to pair-programming (synch views) and provides a instant-messaging view.

as for the original question, i agree that an hibernator plugin could nice.
however i think it could be made more general, providing some extension
points allowing other plugins to generate specific descriptors (jdo, ojb,
etc..).
