Views are usually synchronized using the Selection event, i.e. the
view shows data wrt. some selection. One could use Data Bindings to
link the model and view, but I doubt that this is done very often,
probably depending on the time the view was first implemented (was
Data Binding available at this time) and who did it (did she/he know
about Data Binding and did she/he thought there was enough of a model
to use a MVC pattern).
