[news.eclipse.platform.rcp] Re: RCP - Still a "Pillar of Eclipse"???

Hello Boris!

Sorry for replying so late. Unfortunately I'm reading this newsgroup quite infrequently but I'm very happy about your answer. Did you find out something about that?

By all means I will post that question in the eclipse.foundation newsgroup.

Kind regards,
Robert

RCP development is still ongoing, and I hope that as we work towards Eclipse 4.0, the idea of Eclipse being an application platform will not be an afterthought like it was when the RCP was carved out of the Eclipse IDE for the 3.0 release.

Would you mind posting your question on the eclipse.foundation newsgroup? I honestly don't know why the eclipse.org website does not refer to the RCP like it used to.

Hello folks!

I wonder if RCP is not a pillar of Eclipse anymore? See http://www.eclipse.org/home/categories/rcp.php# which is still online but this site can not be reached from the navigation to the left. Is it because RCP got another name or something like that. Or is it just a part of Equinox now? Is RCP still a ongoing project or is it replaced by another technology? If not, why can't it be found easily on eclipse.org anymore?????

Thanks
