[news.eclipse.platform.rcp] Launching headless RCP application without GTK/Motif
|
Hi,
We are developing a headless application based on Eclipse RCP. With the
delta pack I can created launchers for Linux that work fine as long as
GTK or Motif is installed.
But since our application doesn't have a GUI there wouldn't be a reason
to install a widget toolkit at the deployment environment (in most cases
it's actually not possible at all). Not too surprising, I get this error
message using a Linux/GTK launcher on a system without GTK:
# error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory
Is there a way to generate a Linux launcher (x86 + x86_64) that is not
relying on GTK or Motif libraries?
I'm currently using Eclipse 3.2.2.
Ronny.
