[news.eclipse.platform.rcp] How to display checkbox column properly size

I am trying to mimick the tasks view but using the tasks view image I 
cannot size the column small enough even when using pack().  The column 
ends up looking too wide and the checkboxed are not centered.  How can I 
make the checkbox column narrow like the tasks view or how can I center 
the checkboxes - right now it looks crappy.
