[news.eclipse.platform.rcp] API to delete custom perspective?

Is there an API to delete a custom perspective?  I couldn't find one.  I 
tried to lookup how Eclipse does it but I'm getting lost just finding the 
src for the preference page.

I'm assuming there isn't one because I couldn't find it but wanted to verify 
that before I entered a bug.
