I wasn't able to find a way to do that myself ... the test I mentioned uses 
a workaround of opening the 2nd editor, then programatically "drag and drop" 
it to the bottom of the window.

Technically you create the editor and then split the stack, but unless your 
machine is really slow or really loaded down, your users can't tell the 
difference :-)
