[news.eclipse.newcomer] Extending UML

Hi All,

I have few sets of meta models which is almost derived of UML, may be we 
can say a trim down version of it.So, i can go for creating a Metamodel of 
my entities and then work on it.But i saw UML can be extended,so could it 
be extended for my requirements.

Lets say for e.g. I have a different name for the UML 'Class' entitiy.I 
have less entitites again.So can i extend the UML metamodel and use the 
UML2 tools, such that i get all the power of the modelers and editors.

Please provide your inputs on this.
