I'm trying to figure out exactly what step you are taking that executes an Ant target. Are you saying that you're double-clicking on "the file existing in the ANT viewer"?  That doesn't make any sense.

Are you clicking on a target in the "Outline" view, where each tree node is an Ant target?  For me, that doesn't execute the Ant target, it just focuses on that target in the editor view.
