[news.eclipse.newcomer] Problem with p2

With Ganymede, I installed some features I had packaged from a local update 
site.  I found some problems with my plugins/*/about.html files.  I 
uninstalled my features, and restarted eclipse.  I built a new update site 
with my changes.  When I installed them, they were not in my code.  It seems 
that p2 got stale data.  Sure enough, in my eclipse install plugins 
directory, I found some old stale data.  I erased this and restarted 
eclipse, but it was not happy.  I have since read that p2 does not like 
this!  So, I erased my eclipse install directory, and reinstalled that. 
That worked, but I would like a better solution!  This seems like p2 bug, 
but I wanted to run it by folks on the mailing list for input.  Is there a 
more appropriate newsgroup for p2?
