[news.eclipse.newcomer] Force package delete

Hi, I'm new to Eclipse. I mistakenly created a package using the wrong case. Somehow in the process of trying to change the package to the correct case, I have gotten Eclipse (v.3.3) into a messed up state. It won't let me delete the package so I can recreate it, and it won't let me rename it. Is there a way to force a package delete so I can start over? The error message I get when I try to delete is "Resource xxx is out of sync with the file system." If I try to do a rename is throws an exception and says "Problems encountered while moving resources." At that point my options are to Undo or Abort.

I'd appreciate any help. At this point I'm tempted to blow everything and just reinstall. I've already wasted a bunch of time on what should be a simple task.

Thanks,
Shawn
