Hello! Newcommer here. Not sure if this is the correct forum for this. I
hope someone will direct me if I have posted this to the wrong place.
I've noticed that Eclipse (version 3.2.1) won't allow me to save a web
file who's special characters are not compliant with the character coding
that has been declared for that web page file.
Eclipse pops up a message informing me that some characters cannot be
mapped to ISO-8859-1 (this is the character encoding I use for my web
pages). And, I can't save the file until I clean up those bad characters.
It's a featuer I don't need since I use a HTML validator that will point
out these bad characters, AND tell me exactly which ones they are and
where they are located in the file. Eclipse doesn't do that.
Is there a way to turn this off so that I can save in Eclipse, regardless?
Much thanx,
Chris
