[news.eclipse.newcomer] Eclipse 3.2 and JRE/JDK

Hi,
i'm a IT tech working for a public school. I have been ask to install eclipse 3.2.0 in some of our pc labs. The installation of eclipse 3.2.0 is very easy to do since i just have to unzip everything at the root of my C drive (C:\eclipse). But my problem is that once i run it i then can't have access to the Window>Preferences>Java since it's not there! Or the application eclipse won't even start telling me look in the log in the workbench...

More details on my situation:
Windows 2000 SP4 Workstation
All tests have been done with an admin account.
On the same pc there's NetBeans 3.6, NetBeans 5.5, BlueJay v2.1.3, Rational Rose v2003 and Maple 10 which comes with a jre v1.4.2. We also have the Oracle Client 10.2.0.1.0 install on the same pc. We have j2sdk1.4.2_12 install in C:\j2sdk1.4.2_12, j2re1.4.2_12, jdk1.5.0_10, jre1.5.0_10 in the C:\Program Files\Java folder. Finally here's my different system variable that i tried to modify to solve my problem...

CLASSPATH:
;"C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_10\lib"
JAVA_HOME: (which i created myself).
"C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_10"
ORACLE_HOME:
EMPTY!
Path:
"C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_10\bin";C:\j2sdk1.4.2_12\bin;C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\client_1\bin;C:\watcom-1.3\binnt;C:\watcom-1.3\binw;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%SystemRoot%\system32\nls;%SystemRoot%\system32\nls\FRANCAIS;C:\Program Files\Fichiers communs\MDL Shared\ISIS;c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Tools\binn\;C:\Program Files\Rational\common;C:\Program Files\Rational\ClearCase\bin

I tried to make it as complete as possible. So if it's too much i'm sorry!

Thanks in advance for everything!
