From what I recall, don't think you can use the update manager to do
this. I think you'll need to install 3.2 from scratch and then
reinstall your plugins. But you can use
File->Export->General->Preferences to save your preferences and then
import them into 3.2 and you can reuse your workspace from 3.1 in 3.2.
