[news.eclipse.newcomer] The "problems" tab not refreshing

I have noticed that the "problems" tab does not seem to update when I 
switch between multiple projects in my workspace.  When I was using 3.1.0, 
if I clicked to highlight a different project, the "problems" tab would 
update to show me the errors for that particular project.  Now it just 
shows the same list of 100 errors.  This problem is occurring on Eclipse 
3.1.2 (previously using 3.1.0).

Any ideas appreciated.
