[news.eclipse.newcomer] Cannot type close braces in the editor

Hi,

The keys for either squared bracket close nor close brace are accepted in 
the the eclipse editor view. When I type those keys nothing happens. Open 
braces work fine.
I use a german keyboard layout, Eclipse 3.0.2 and WinXP.

Anybody knows which configuration settings I have to select to make 
Eclipse accept those keys.
