[news.eclipse.newcomer] resolution windows vs. linux

Hi,

I have eclipse running on both my Windows machine and also on a fedora linux
distribution, both 3.0.1.  The problem I'm experiencing is the difference in
the displayed resolution in the linux version is really poor compared to
that on the windows machine.  I had assumed that it was a gnome/gtk problem
but I've searched and searched and not found a thing.  Both machines are
set-up to run @ 1280x1024, and the poor display is tempting me to do my
development on the windows box, which is not my preference.
