[news.eclipse.newcomer] Re: Eclipse BOOKS

There are several books available on Eclipse 3.0. Here is a link to a good list of available books:

At the risk of showing bias, I recommend The Java Developerâs Guide to Eclipse, 2nd Edition, and books from the Addison-Wesley Eclipse Series.

Hi,

I'm going to buy some books about Eclipse. I need some books not about the IDE itself but more about plugin development.

I'll start developing a plug-in for my thesis; I need to understand basic plugin development and some more advanced topics (like how to use refactoring plug-in inside my own plug-in etc.)

Feel free to suggest me some good books. Doing a fast search in a big internet reseller, I found some books to be outdated (most of them refer to Eclipse v. 2). I prefer developing plug-in for versione 3.x

Thanks a lot for you help

Simon

P.S. Feel free to send me also resources from the Internet. Sorry if this msg is a bit "off-topic" here.
