I think it has nothing at all to do with firewalls or virus scanner...I've 
disabled both and it does not work.

I've also had the same config with virus/fw running previos versions of 
eclipse when help worked so logic dictates the problem is eclipse.

Thanks for the links to the bug reports...I thought I was going nuts, but 
it's not just me.
