[news.eclipse.newcomer] Eclipse deletes all files in directory, please h

Hi all,

I just tried to create a new project in an existing folder. When eclipse 
was importing (and converting?) all files I got an error saying the import 
could not proceed. The result was that all files in this folder were 
recusively removed and all that is left is a .project file. I tried the 
recycle bin, but with no success?

Can anyone tell me where these files might have gone?

Any help is much appreciated!
