[news.eclipse.newcomer] how to make a widget like the toolbar image butt

Hi

I like to design a widget/button with the same behavior like the ones in 
the toolbar with an arrow near by.

hope someone can give me a hint how to do that!

my approach was to design a combo with images instead of text - but this 
doesn't work as i saw!
