I tried the 2nd option on the above link and I get:
"The error log file not focund at c:\java\eclipse\workspace\.metadat\.log
No errors have been reported in this workspace"

This dialog is always reporting the above, no matter whats in the ide 
platform.

Of course I physically inspected other catalina[date].log and install.log 
files and didn't notice any application loading error & eclipe setup 
looked ok.

I guess I need to understand how the plugin projects are loaded (in this 
case the 'welcome'), while the navigator is showing other projects loaded 
from my workspace!

Please send me a link or pointer, else I can re-install eclipse.
