We are trying to migrate our CVS repository from a RH Linux box to an XP
Pro box. The problem is that when browsing the SP repository tree in
eclipse it takes about eight times as long to expand a node as it does
when browsing from the Linux box. Oddly, when it comes to actually
checking out files the performance between the two servers is comparable
(between 45 and 55 seconds to checkout ~150Mg of stuff, both from within
Eclipse and from the cygwin command line.)
Is there anything we can do to speed up the node expansion on the XP side?
