[news.eclipse.modeling.gmt.modisco] Re: KDM Compliance
|
Hi Javier,
The "inspired by" means that MoDisco will not use the KDM metamodel as
is but will be compatible with it. MoDisco aims at providing smallest
metamodels (i.e. more specific to a modernization domain) rather than
using KDM as a whole. The compatibility will be ensure by model
transformations (in ATL and/or QVT: see http://www.eclipse.org/m2m/)
targeting KDM.
Best regards,
Mikael

Hi all,
I am researching in software modernization, specifically ADM. I am
interesting in the compliance degree of MoDisco with KDM Metamodel. In
the MoDisco Documentation we can read: "...A common infrastructure,
inspired by the OMG KDM recommendation, will allow integrating all these
contributions...".
What is the meaning of "inspired by"? Will MoDisco use the whole KDM
metamodel?
Thks
