[news.eclipse.modeling.gmt.amw] Re: [AMW OAM] Creating a (populated) ontology using a metamodel and a model

Hello,

One idea that could be done is to create a transformation MA2OWL based on the MOF_OAM2OWL transformation. This transformation would 'populate' the ontology based on the Ma models. MA2OWL would be automatically produced by using a higher-order transformation (a transformation that produces transformations). This may be relatively difficult to implement, though it would be quite interesting!

Marcos.

Currently I am researching the possibility to transform a model (Ma) into an ontology. Using the Ontology Annotation Metamodel (OAM) I have managed to transform my metamodel (MMa) to an ontology. However, this ontology remains 'empty'.

Is there a way to 'populate' the created ontology, essentially using both my MMa and Ma to produce a populated ontology? Perhaps the first figure at http://www.eclipse.org/gmt/amw/usecases/oamusecase/ clarifies my question, the MMa at level M2 is used to generate ontology a. But what about the models at M1? I would like to use these to populate the created ontology.
