Hi,
it is right, it does not find the metamodels, because they are not
registered yet (this is an expected behavior). To be able to open the
ATL model, you should first register the ATL metamodel using the context
menu "Register metamodel", in the AM3 perspective.
There is a previous post about this:
http://www.eclipse.org/newsportal/article.php?id=158&group=eclipse.modeling.gmt.amw#158
The ATL metamodel can be found at:
http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/org.eclipse.m2m/org.eclipse.m2m.atl/plugins/org.eclipse.m2m.atl.engine/src/org/eclipse/m2m/atl/engine/resources/ATL-0.2.ecore?root=Modeling_Project&view=log
Regards,
Marcos.

Hi,
I am trying to run the tutorial example ATL2Wtracer. The transformations
run, however I have problems when opening the generated .ecore
representation of the .atl transformation using the ecore editor. I get
a package not found error refering to the following uris:
For ATL: http://www.eclipse.org/gmt/2005/ATL
For OCL: http://www.eclipse.org/gmt/2005/OCL
Surprisingly, when I browse to those addresses I get unfound errors, so
I guess it is then understandable why eclipse does not find the
metamodels, right? But this versions of the ATL and OCL metamodels are
used automatically by the plugin when one chooses the option "inject
ATL-0.2 file to ATL-0.2 model".... is this a bug in the plugin??? do you
know how we can change this?
Thanks and kind regards,
Agustina
