[news.eclipse.modeling.gmt.amw] Re: newbie question

Hi François,

Some comments below.

Hello,

I would like to maintain references between two model elements and motivate this
link, so for short, I need to maintain traceability information. My requirement
is that this information should be preferably stored in a model, and links
should be created programmatically in Java (even if some of them could be
partially generated through ATL)

So my first question is to know if AMW is a good start for that.

You can use AMW for that. I advise you to take a look to the traceability use case and example: http://www.eclipse.org/gmt/amw/usecases/traceability/

I wanted to do my first steps with AMW. My current eclipse is 3.3.0. I downloaded ATL 2.2.0. When I start the weawer wizzard, and load a KM3 extension I get:

error:
org/atl/engine/injectors/ebnf/KM3Lexer

any ideas?

I read in the newsgroup that a new version has been committed. But I am honest
and have to admit that I am too lazy too compile it.

If you want to use AMW with the last version of ATL, you should use AMW from Eclipse CVS.

We're working on a new AMW release build and this should be available later this month.

Temporarily you can use a previous version of AMW (http://www.eclipse.org/gmt/amw/download/) & ATL (http://www.eclipse.org/m2m/atl/download/archive.php)

thanks'

Best regards, Freddy.
