[news.eclipse.modeling.gmt.amw] Re: New AMW use case - metamodel comparison

Hi Pierre,

I think this would be great. Since the approach is generic, it can be applied to different metamodels. I am interested to apply it to SAM metamodels.

Do you have these metamodels in Ecore?

We can apply the existing matching transformations to create a weaving model between the SAM metamodels.

Depending on the result, we can also develop different heuristics more adapted to your scenario.

Regards,

Marcos.

Hi Marcos,

very interesting use case !
In TOPCASED, we have to find an efficient way to build compatibility bridges each time meta-models evolve (UML 2.0 > UML 2.1 for example).

(Semi-)automatic creation of such transformations would be of great help.

As currently SAM meta-model is changing, we could try to apply this weaving model on it. What do you think about it ?
