No, he did not reply, but I talked to him, so he is real (and not like the

And he also confirmed my assumption, that unlike Linux or other community
type of
projects there is no "Father Figure" like a Linus Torwald, or James Gosling,
who invented
the whole thing (in 7 days ;-)

e.g. Erich Gamma is well-known for things like the patters, or JUnit, and
also contributes a lot
to Eclipse, but he is also just another (more present) "wheel" in the
Eclipse machinary.
