The Java Developers should be mid to senior level engineers with strong 
familiarity with the Tomcat/JBoss environment and with some experience 
with Oracle.  Knowledge of Hibernate or other ORM packages would be highly 
desirable.  The consultant developers will work on various projects.  

Early efforts will include the development of prototype applications used 
for testing purposes for  HL7 implementation and the installation or 
development of a portal infrastructure that will provide a framework for 
most production applications.  

Familiarity with the Jetspeed portal package would be helpful, but is not 
necessary.  

Experience in software development in healthcare is highly desirable, 
especially knowledge of HL7, but not absolutely necessary.

The development environment includes Eclipse, JDK 1.5, Hibernate, CVS, 
Bugzilla, Apache, JBoss, Tomcat, SSH tools, and X Windows.  Development is 
typically done on Win2k desktops, while Test/QA and Production are on 
Linux servers.  Familiarity with most of these tools/environments is 
highly desirable.
