The Eclipse Foundation is looking for an Eclipse enthusiast to help promote
Eclipse to the developer community. The successful candidate will be
responsible for working with developers in both large and small
organizations that are looking to adopt Eclipse as their development
platform. The candidate will also be responsible for creating on-line
content that extends the reach and understanding of the Eclipse projects.
Specific responsibilities include:
a.. Represent Eclipse at developer conferences and user groups.
b.. Create on-line content - such as tutorials, screencasts, and white
papers - to help explain the Eclipse projects.
c.. Develop a technical understanding and be able to demo the various
Eclipse projects.
d.. Write technical articles for various developer publications.
e.. Promote Eclipse and the Eclipse eco-system to developers via a blog.
f.. Work closely with other Eclipse Foundation employees to understand and
analyze future trends in the developer community.
The successful candidate will require the following skills:
a.. Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and analytical
skills.
b.. Excellent understanding of Eclipse technology.
c.. Knowledge of technology trends and development leaders.
d.. Ability to work independently and with little supervision
e.. Willingness to travel.
