IDE/GUI Developer & Human Factors Engineer: Analytics Platform Development
(NJ, full-time, immediate start)

Aleri Inc. is a software solutions & enabling technology provider offering both leading edge financial applications and multi-market enabling data analytics technology for real-time data stream analytics as well as historical data analytics (via SQL and OLAP). We have a small, high caliber team; and are looking for an IDE GUI developer with in-depth knowledge & experience with Java, a keen sense of GUI human factors, and a proven track record to join this team. We need to quickly prototype and evolve (via short iterative releases) an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) to be used across our analytics platforms portfolio, as well as other supporting GUIs including: service management/monitoring, query services, installation/configuration, and log monitoring. We are looking for an intelligent, energetic and highly motivated GUI developer to join our team and help drive our IDE/GUI vision & development. We currently have a proprietary IDE, but have recently prototyped an Eclipse based IDE, and now want to bring in an individual with extensive experience with IDEs and experience with Eclipse to help ensure that we are heading down the right IDE path and then implement it?s fruition.

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Engine R&D

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Help drive vision for our analytics portfolio presentation layer.
- Provide IDE subject area expertise.
- IDE and misc. GUI development via Java and possibly Eclipse.
- Member of the architecture/lead team helping to provide technical direction and vision for the analytics portfolio.
- Quick, iterative releases for provability of approach and speed to market.
- Document architecture, design, and implementation (in line).
- Provide raw content to Technical Writers for end user documentation.


REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Software Human Factors, or related field; graduate degree preferred.
- Minimum 4-5 years of professional experience in software GUI development & software human factors.
- Experience with developing IDEs, multiple preferred, Eclipse strongly desired.
- Knowledge of and proven experience with Java and its toolkits/libraries(e.g., Swing & java.io) for GUI development
- Knowledge of database systems & SQL would be a major plus.
- Proven track record of success performing the functions of the position
