[news.eclipse.eclipsecon] Re: cost for Eclipsecon 2008?

Wow, I just noticed that it is very difficult to find this historical info from the Eclipse 2007 Web site (http://www.eclipsecon.org/2007/index.php?page=home/)

I mean, they updated the site daily during the conference, and now that it's over, all the info about registering is not linked from the main page (because it's time sensitive).

I did find these via a Google search on "EclipseCon 2007 registration":
http://www.eclipsecon.org/2007/index.php?page=registration/
http://www.eclipsecon.org/2007/index.php?page=hotels/

And Bjorn's rough calculation for EclipseCon 2006: http://eclipse-projects.blogspot.com/2005/12/open-source-eclipsecon-budgeting.html

Usually there is a conference deal on hotels next to the convention center. Last year though, I found a lower rate at the Holiday Inn that was a mile walk down the road (18 minutes walking for me). Plus the convention center is right on the light rail system, so it is easy to get a hotel room closer to San Jose and take the light rail to the convention center.

I am putting a proposal forth for my attendance at EclipseCon 2008. My manager has requested to know about costs... How much did the conference cost last year (or better yet this year)? What was the cost of the tutorials? Are there special deals being offered on hotels?

Thanks,
Alex
