[news.eclipse.dsdp] Is NAB for real?

Hi all,

I'm getting a little desperate here. I would really like to play around with the Native Application Builder, but can't seem to get it installed correctly. The last two messages in the NAB newsgroup are both from me, seperated by about 3 months, and neither one was answered.

NAB doesn't appear to be available from an update site so I just downloaded the zip file and unzipped it in my eclipse directory. I also downloaded and installed WideStudio/MWT per the instructions. NAB-related JAR files show up in the features and plugins directories, but Eclipse doesn't seem to know anything about it. The NAB perspective doesn't show up.

A clue emerged when I opened the PDE perspective to check the Plug-ins view. Two errors appeared:

Unable to find feature.xml in directory: /usr/local/eclipse/features/org.eclipse.nab.mwt.native.win32_0.9.9.200806181757.jar

Unable to find feature.xml in directory: /usr/local/eclipse/features/org.eclipse.nab.mwt_0.9.9.200806181757.jar

The relevant system information is:
eclipse.buildId=I20080617-2000
java.version=1.6.0_03
java.vendor=Sun Microsystems Inc.
BootLoader constants: OS=linux, ARCH=x86, WS=gtk, NL=en_US
Command-line arguments: -os linux -ws gtk -arch x86 -clean

So why are those two archives missing feature.xml and what do I do about it?

TIA,

Doug
