Hi Markus,

For the source of "startup.jar" in eRCP 1.2.1, you can get it from
    dev.eclipse.org/cvsroot/dsdp
    org.eclipse.ercp/org.eclipse.platform
There are 2 .java files under org\eclipse\core\launcher\.
