[news.eclipse.dsdp.ercp] Re: Image class missing in WinCE and WM

Sure, I got it. Are there any kind of examples or instructions that i need to follow to deploy an application.

I currently developed and deployed an application on the eWorkbench and it works fine. How can i transfer this application to WinCE or Windows Mobile version of simulators ?

Are there any examples how to do this ?

Thanks,
Krishna

Hi Krishna,

You need to install Windows Mobile 5/6 SDK with Visual Studo 2005 and Windows CE 5.0 SDK with embedded Visual C++ 4.0 to have emulator available to use.

So far I can find standalone windows mobile 6 emulator at Microsoft download site

http://download.microsoft.com/download/0/1/2/012bfbba-9fe5-4e68-86c9-d434446d97dd/0409/Windows%20Mobile%206%20Professional%20Images%20(USA).msi

And Windows CE 5.0 emulator

In addition to emulators, you'll also need JRE for corresponding platforms.

Hi,

Probably i am asking a lay man question but i had to ask :)

I believe that there are three runtimes that eRCP supports; Win32, WinCE and WM. I am basically providing an example where i can port the RCP application or eRCP app. Now, i was able to port the app to eRCP in Eclipse and was able to run it in eclipse eWorkbench along with HelloWorld and other apps.

Can i try the same application simulation on the WinCE or WM platform. Are there any simulators available, where i can readily download ? Or in another way who would actually use the WinCE or WM or Nokia S80 runtimes ? Are they not meant for the demo developers like me ?

If i need to get a device simulator what are the steps involved ?

By now i am sure you know how confused i am. (slightly confused with usage of Win32 target and other targets).

Thanks,
Krishna
