[news.eclipse.birt.usability] Excel and Word emitters

Hi,

I'm currently reviewing different reporting options, I've looked at Crystal
Reports, Jasper Reports, JFreeReport and BIRT. BIRT seems to win hands down
for my requirements, with one exception. I absolutely have to have excel and
word emitters. I see that these are pegged to be released at the end of
June, I'm trying to gauge the likelihood of this release being met. Does the
BIRT project tend to deliver expected features on time?

Any input here would be greatly appreciated as I'd love to use this project.
