[news.eclipse.tools.ve] installing VE with Galileo

Hi,
despite I followed step by step all instructions, I was not able to 
install VE on Galileo.

First I tried with Install new software, but it was a very frustrating 
experience: it was asked my login and pwd... What login and pwd? Obviously 
not the ones I have been using here (they don't work in downloading 
procedure).

Then I tried to download on http://www.eclipse.org/vep/downloads/ but 
there seemed not possible to download file N200906251626 (2009/06/25) (the 
one for which I was asked for login and pwd) because it is a nightly 
build. I tried in other sites 
1) http://download.eclipse.org/tools/ve/downloads/drops/1.4.0/ ==> a lot 
of version composed by a lot of file (what is the right one?)
2) 
https://build.eclipse.org/hudson/view/Athena%20CBI/job/cbi-ve-1.4-nightly-Ganymede/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/build/... 
this is simply out of order.

So... I tried with Netbeans... and it seems enormously easier. 
Before I migrate definitively on Netbeans, is there anyone who can help me?
