[news.eclipse.tools.ve] Dead End?

Hi, I've recently begun browsing through the source trying to get a grip 
on how to fix things, the activity in Bugzilla is as low as it can be, 
with only few additions but almost no fixing. Inside the source there are 
numerous places whith TODOs that must cover corner cases that isn't easly 
fixed. 

Then I realized that this project might have come to a dead end and cannot 
be fixed easily anymore and that's why it's more or less abandoned. This I 
cannot answer but I hope someone who reads this list might be able to 
answer.

1) Is the project "dead".

2) If not, can it be fixed?

3) Should we restart from scratch?
