[news.eclipse.technology.alf] ALF Security presentation given at SD West 2008 conference

A 90-minute presentation titled "Implementing an Open Source SOA Framework
for Development: Identiy and Authentication" was given by Brian Carroll at
the SD West 2008 conference in Santa Clara.

After a brief overview of Eclipse ALF, the talk convered the possible stacks
of web service security specifications, and indicated why the WS-Security,
WS-Trust, WS-Federation, and SAML Assertion specifications were selected for
ALF.
The talk then described the coresponding stacks that implemented the web
service and web service security specifications used in ALF. Those stacks
included numerous components from the Apache Project, including Axis2,
Rampart, and all their underlying projects, as well as OpenSAML 1.1.
Finally, I described some of the realities we faced in transforming the
design and specifications into the ALF implementation.
