It can be assigned to a different key combination (see Preferences > 
General > Keys and look for the "Content Assistant" command), but it 
can't be assigned to a mouse button. Think about it, a mouse button is 
NOT a key.
There may be some mouse driver or utility that can map the wheel button 
to a specific keyboard combination, which might help do what you want; 
but I don't know of any.
