I am trying to generate a report from a report design I have completed.
The datasource is a flat file (cvs) and is very large (over 500k rows).
When I try to do a view report with a web view, it fails ... I am assuming
because it timesout. (I have tested it with a smaller subset of data and
it works).
So - I figured I could do a "Generate Document" and it would generate the
document in a background process and store it somewhere. But where does
it put this file? After about 1 1/2 hours it completed ... but no
messages about where to find the doc and I didn't see it in my workspace.
Any other tips out there for generating reports with large amounts of data
from flat files?
