Hi,

I am also a newbee... I think another alternative is using a product called SwingRCP which I believe allow you to use the Swing components within the RCP framework.

I didn't have a chance to try it, but it looks promising if you don't want to deal with the issues with bridge.

I am a Swing developer, but I must admit that the SWT components look cooler (and certainly more native) on the Windows platform.

Thanks, I'm trying out the SwingRPC and I was able to get the application to launch. Now I have to try the rest, packaging and exporting...

Hopefully this works out to be what I need. Too bad they don't seem to have a plug-in for Eclipse 3.4.

Cheers, Eric
