I am a long time C programmer, and I am trying to adapt to using Eclipse
& Linux.
First problem is line numbers. Compile a file and I get a long list of
error messages. Each error message includes a line number. The lines
with errors get hi-lighted in the source code, but when most lines have
errors that doesn't help much.
So I looked in help, and help tells me you can turn on line numbers for
the text editor in preferences, but when I go to preferences, it does
not look anything like the help screen, and there is no provision for
turning on line numbers.
So am I not holding my mouth right, or what?
